“They really put their heart into it,” says Mary Barneby, CEO of Girl Scouts of Connecticut. “They not only had fun learning themselves, but then they were creating something that they could share with their neighbors and make the world a better place.”
The book, full of meals under $15, will be distributed at food banks across the state with the help of Bank of America.
“It’s so great to work with the Girl Scouts and we all together can make change and impact hunger in our community,” says Carol Heller, Market Manager of Bank of America, Southern Connecticut.
You can also pick up the cookbook at News 8’s Holiday Food Drive at East Haven ShopRite from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday.
