22-year-old woman dies following motor vehicle accident on Main St. in Hartford


Hartford Police are investigating after a two car motor vehicle accident has left on woman dead.

According to officials, Sunday at approximately 1:28 am, officers responded to the area of 1921 Main St. to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. When officers arrived, they observed a Kia Sorrento SUV and Infiniti G35 both with heavy damage. 

Fire and EMS both responded to the scene and aided to victims of the crash. Three occupants from the Kia were transported to the hospital. One occupant, a 22 year old female, was later pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital. 

The Infiniti fled the scene following the crash.

Detectives from the Crime Scene Division responded and assumed control of the investigation. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
