5K race honors New Britain woman

Hartford

A race honored the life of a New Britain woman on Saturday.

The 3rd annual Sara Krolikowski Memorial 5K was held on Saturday morning.

Krolikowski passed away in 2015 at the age of 27.

100 percent of the race proceeds will go to the Join Rise Be program at Advocacy Unlimited.

The program helps people struggling with mental health and addiction.

“We do this in honor of her, and Sara Krolikowski was an amazing woman who would give a part of herself to anyone she met,” explained Linda Lentini, general manager of Advocacy Unlimited.

Krolikowski worked as a counselor at Advocacy Unlimited for many years.
