American Red Cross to install free smoke alarms in Hartford

The American Red Cross will be installing free smoke alarms for people that live in the city of Hartford on Tuesday. 

It’s all part of the Sound the Alarm event. As well as, part of the organization’s campaign to reduce the number of home fire deaths and injuries. 

The Red Cross is joining forces with the Hartford Fire Department and Cigna Corporation for this event. 

The organization is hoping to install 500 smoke alarms on Tuesday. 

The event will start at 9:00 a.m. and go until 2:00 p.m.
