April 8th begins the 2019 National Work Zone Awareness Week

This week kicks off the 2019 National Work Zone Awareness Week!

The DOT headquarters is celebrating 20 years of work zone safety efforts. Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz and the DOT commissioner spoke Monday afternoon.

Winners of the Annual CT Roadway Safety Poster Contest for children were be featured. 

The goal of the event is to bring attention to driver and worker safety in those work zone areas.
