Bloomfield PD: Two injured in shooting on Brookline Avenue

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating a shooting incident that injured two people in the area of Brookline Ave. Monday night.

At approximately 8:47 p.m., officers responded to the 130 to 150 block of Brookline Ave for a report of multiple gunshots in the area.

Upon arrival, officers located a 23-year-old male victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso and legs. Police say the victim was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital.

As officers were investigating, they received information that a 27-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest arrived at St. Francis hospital seeking treatment. The victim’s wounds are considered to be non-life-threatening at this time, according to police.

Police say preliminary information indicates that the victims were assaulted during a dispute involving three to five suspects.
