Body found floating in Connecticut River in Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, Conn. (WTNH)– Police are investigating a body found floating in the Connecticut River Saturday night.

Glastonbury police received a report of a body floating in the Connecticut River near the Glastonbury Shore just before 7 p.m. Police then recovered the body in the area of 252 Welles Street.

At this time, it is unknown how the victim got into the river or how the victim died.

The incident is under investigation. Police say they are considering the incident as an untimely death.
