Bond amount decreases for West Hartford man who shot person with hatchet

Hartford Superior Court reports the man who shot a person holding a hatchet on Monday afternoon was arraigned on Tuesday.

35-year-old Daniel Davis’ bond was lowered from $500,000 to $300,000 on which he remains held, officials said. He is due back in court on May 8.

The 28-year-old shooting victim was treated and released at a local hospital on Monday. Police seized both weapons, Davis’ gun and the shooting victim’s hatchet.
