Bristol crash seriously injures teen

Hartford

A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured in a collision in Bristol on Monday night.

On Monday at just before 7:30 p.m., authorities say crews responded to a report of a serious crash involving a scooter at the intersection of Pine Street and Lois Street.

Officials say the operator of the scooter, a 17-year-old boy, was unresponsive and suffering from serious injuries. From there, they say the Bristol Police Department’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team was called to investigate.

Police say the teen was traveling north on Lois Street approaching Pine Street. They say as he exited onto Pine Street, he collided with a Nissan Rogue traveling east on that road.

Officials say there were no injuries report by the occupants of the SUV and there was no passenger on the scooter. They say the teen was transported to Saint Francis Hospital and is in stable condition.

At this time the crash remains under investigation.

The Bristol Police Department is asking that anyone with information about this crash to contact them at 860-584-3036.
