Bronin announces open application window for the Hartford Police Department

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) - If you are looking for a new job, the Hartford Police Department has an open application window.

On Monday, Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin announced that the department is accepting applications from Feb. 11th through April 1st.

"We've made it a priority to aggressively recruit diverse police classes aswe [sic] faced a significant number of retirements the City had not adequately planned for, and today we're announcing another opportunity to join the Hartford Police Department," said Mayor Bronin. "I hope anyone interested in serving our community will apply and help us build another large pool of applicants that represents the diversity of our city."

 Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, must possess a high school diploma or GED, and must have a valid driver's license.
