Central Connecticut State University investigating racial slur spray painted on student center


According to Director of Public Relations, Janice Palmer, Central Connecticut State University Police are investigating the spray painting of a racial slur on the exterior wall of the student center. 

The slur was reported to police late Sunday morning. Facilities immediately responded and began removing the paint. According to Palmer, a second chemical treatment is necessary to completely remove the paint. The final application will be made Monday morning. 

As a temporary fix, a banner as been hung over the paint to cover it completely. 

This is an active investigation being conducted by the Central Connecticut State University Police.
