The Connecticut Women’s Huskies basketball team took on the Cleveland Bob Cats at Gampel Pavillion on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, a game that resulted in a 82 – 38 win for more than just the local sports team.

A special Military Appreciation Day event took place during the halftime show on the court at UConn Storrs. Former UConn Huskies basketball player, Sue Bird, returned to the court to be able to give back and celebrate veterans for their service with a car giveaway.
