Connecticut Water asking Farmington residents to reduce outdoor water usage today

Hartford

FARMINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut Water is asking people in town to reduce their outdoor water usage on Tuesday.

The water company says usage is higher than usual right now. That combined with a mechanical failure is preventing some water storage tanks from refilling completely.

So, people are being asked to hold off on things like watering lawns and filling up swimming pools.
