Construction crew causes gas leak in East Windsor, prompting evacuations

Residents have been evacuated and roads are closed after a construction crew pulled up a gas line in East Windsor.

According to officials, a gas leak has occurred on Acorn Drive late Wednesday morning.

Authorities say the surrounding area has been evacuated and that Depot Street and Hall Road are closed.

Crews are at the scene and expect the roads will be closed for at least a few hours.

There has been no word on whether the leak has stopped or if there are any injuries.
