HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut lawmakers have helped secure more than $135 million for the restoration of the federal courthouse in Hartford.
The funding was included after Senate Republicans only included funding for the federal courthouse in Chattanooga, Tennessee. That, despite Hartford ranking first on the federal judiciary courthouse project priorities list.
Senator Blumenthal says the 57-year-old courthouse has simply outlived its “sell-by date.”
