Enfield police identify man killed in motorcycle crash on Somers Road

ENFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Enfield Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash Saturday evening on Somers Road by the town line.

Officials report that the crash happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. when the motorcycle left the roadway on Somers Road near the Town of Somers line.

Police report that the motorcycle was a 2018 Harley Davidson Flhxs operated by 50-year-old Gerald Reed of Enfield. Reed was pronounced deceased on scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Enfield Police Department Traffic Division, with assistance from the METRO Traffic Services Regional Traffic Team. Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to call 860-763-6400 ext. 1385.
