Farm Aid Comes to Connecticut

Hartford

The Farm Aid Music Festival is taking place Saturday in Hartford.

The annual event, which raises money and awareness for family farms, is taking place at the Xfinity Theater, the first time in its 33-year history it has been held in Connecticut.

Artists including Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews are scheduled to perform.

The festival will also showcase food from local farmers and lessons for concert-goers on everything from bee keeping to cheese-making.

Farm Aid has raised more than $53 million over the years.
