Giant painted bee sculptures to “beeee” unveiled for the Bees Across New Britain art project


Local New Britain artists are painting Central Park yellow and black for the Bees Across New Britain art project.

New Britain’s Central Park will “beeee” filled with giant bees, but don’t panic!

These bees are six-foot fiberglass bees that have been painted by local artists, and it’s all part of the Bees Across New Britain public art project.

Mayor Erin Stewart and the Greater New Britain Arts Alliance will publically unveil the first dozen sculptures at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

There will be 25 bees will be on display by June.
