Glastonbury teen awarded congressional award


A teenager from Glastonbury is being recognized by Connecticut lawmakers for his public service.

James Amenta from Kingswood-Oxford High School was given the Bronze Congressional Medal on Wednesday.

Representative John Larson presented him with the award for achieving his goals in voluntary public service. Along with volunteering in the community, he spent time in Paraguay doing a variety of service work.
