Growing trash dispute in Hartford

A growing trash dispute is piling up in Hartford

Mayor Luke Bronin just denied the Regional Trash Authorities request to reopen the city’s capped landfill in North Meadows.

The problem is the authority is waiting on repairs on a refuse incinerator and has no where to put garbage at its South Meadows facility in the meantime.

No waste has been dumped at the North Meadows facility since 2008.
