VERNON Conn. (WTNH) — A Hartford man is arrested after police say he took an ‘upskirt’ picture of women at a Vernon Salvation Army in July.

Vernon police say 32-year-old Michael Tedford walked past a women multiple times at the Salvation Army Store at 295 Hartford Turnpike on July 7. Police say that’s when Tedford saw the woman bend over and he came up from behind and took a picture her. The women saw Tedford bending over behind her, so she called police who were able to stop Tedford as he attempted to drive away.

Officers say they seized the cell phone Tedford allegedly used. After the Vernon Police Department and the CT Digital analyzed the phone, they found pictures that were consistent with the alleged crime.

Police say they also learned Tedford had drove to the store without a valid license and had a marijuana smoking bowl.

Tedford is facing multiple charges including Voyeurism and breach of peace. He posted a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville Court on September 13.
