Two people found dead at a home on Fenwick Street in Hartford killed in murder-suicide

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Two people were found dead inside a Hartford home on Fenwick Street Monday night.

Hartford Police Lieutenant Aaron Boisvert said around 6 p.m., officers were dispatched to 45 Fenwick St. for a report of someone found with a gunshot wound on the first floor of the two-story home.

Upon arrival, officers found two victims with gunshot wounds; both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified the victims as Deandre Faison, 19, and Alicia Underwood, 20. Police identified the pair as boyfriend and girlfriend and say both were from Hartford.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner released the autopsy results for Faison and Underwood.

The OCME says Faison died from a gunshot wound to the head and ruled the death a suicide. Faison’s address was listed as 45 Fenwick St., according to police.

Underwood died from a gunshot wound to the head and her death was ruled a homicide.

Police said the OCME has ruled this incident a murder-suicide.

Boisvert added this is the 34th homicide in the city this year, compared to only 25 in total last year.

Hartford Police Major Crimes continue to investigate this incident.
