Hartford PD: One man killed, two injured in triple shooting on Norwich Street

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford Police are investigating a triple shooting that happened Tuesday evening and has turned fatal.

Police say they responded to a Shot Spotter activation in the area of 19 Norwich Street around 6:20 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found three gunshot victims. The first and second victims, both males in their 20s, were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The third victim, later identified as 33-year-old Chaquan Jones, suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

It is unknown at this point what led up to the shooting.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and assumed the investigation.
