69-year-old man dead after crashing into utility pole in Hartford


HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — One man is dead after Hartford police said he crashed into a utility pole on Sunday.

The incident happened just before 7:30 a.m. in the area of 600 Tower Avenue.

Police said Glenworth Morant’s 2019 Chrysler 300 left to road and hit the pole.

When officers arrived, they found him trapped in the vehicle.

He was extricated and taken to Saint Francis Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

He just celebrated his 69th birthday.

An investigation is ongoing.
