Hartford police investigate 2 shooting incidents on Monday night


Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents in Hartford on Monday night.

According to officials, around 7:00 p.m., a 17-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The shooting took place in the area of 89 Pliny Street. The teen is currently in stable condition.

One hour later, police responded to another hospital after receiving a report of a gunshot victim arriving at the hospital. At the scene, police learned that the 23-year-old victim suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the upper arm in the area of 25 Wethersfield Avenue. Officials said the victim has two outstanding warrants and will be taken into custody after being treated.

Investigators have determined that the incidents are not related.

They are under investigation.
