HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police are investigating a homicide on Barbour Street, Wednesday night.
Hartford police said they are conducting the investigation in the area of 308 Barbour St.
Police on the scene said at 9:42 p.m. a shot spotter activation picked up multiple rounds fired. Upon arrival, they found a male victim unresponsive. The male was transported to St Francis Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Police have been able to view some video of the area, and say it appears that three suspects were lying in wait for the victim. When the victim arrived in this area all three of the suspects fired at the victim and struck him, according to police.
Police said the victim returned fire at the suspect with his firearm. It did not appear the victim struck any of the suspects, police said.
Investigators on the scene believe this was a targeted attack. They say the victim is believed to be a male in his forties. They have a tentative identification of the victim.
No arrests have been made at this time.
