Hartford Police investigate social media threat made to school

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A “code yellow” was put in place at MD Fox School in Hartford this morning after a threat was made to the school by a former student through a social media platform.

For precaution, the “code yellow” alerted students and teachers to stay in place within their classrooms, not allowing activity in the hallways. The alert has since been lifted after an investigation by Hartford Police.

Families of students have been informed of the incident.

Hartford Police have placed extra officers at the school for the remainder of the day. No additional details have been made available at this time.

The elementary school is located on Maple Avenue in Hartford.
