Hartford man dead following targeted attack on Sigourney Street, police say

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford Police are investigating a homicide on Sigourney Street Wednesday night; Police believe the victim was targeted.

Police say the incident was called in around 6 p.m. and took place at 410 Sigourney Street.

The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital by a private car with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead shortly before police arrived.

Police identified the victim as Martin Hamilton, 41, of Hartford. They believe it was a targeted attack.

Lt. Aaron Boisvert of Hartford Police told our reporters on the scene, “We do have people we are speaking to that we believe may have witnessed the incident. As far as suspect information, we do not have that yet. We do not believe this was a gunshot wound or a stab wound, we believe this was more of a physical assault.”
