Hartford Police investigating report of shots fired near Girard Avenue

Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating a report of shots fired in the area of Girard Avenue Tuesday.

Preliminary information received by police is that an individual was waiting for a tow truck for his vehicle, which was stolen and then found near the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Girard Avenue, when someone approached the vehicle and shots were fired.

No injuries were reported.
