Hartford police investigate after man shot in chest

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police are investigating after a man was found on a lawn suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest on Wednesday morning.

Police say that the victim was found on the lawn outside of 729 Hazel Street.

He sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to the hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

Authorities have not released the man’s identity or any details of what led up to the shooting.

During the investigation, police asked residents to avoid the Park Street and Hazel Street area.
