Hartford police K-9 ‘Radar’ receives protective vest to keep him safe while on duty

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — One police K-9 will be a bit safer when patrolling the streets of Hartford thanks to a generous donation.

K-9 Officer Radar received a bullet and stab protective vest.

The donation comes from the nonprofit organization, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. 

The 2-year-old German shepherd joined the department in August 2019.
