HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police have made two arrests and recovered two firearms after a concerned caller reported suspicious activity in the city’s Asylum Hill neighborhood Sunday night.

Just after 8:50 p.m., police received a call concerning two men carrying guns in the vicinity of 20 May Street. Officers responded to that address, and quickly located two men that matched descriptions provided by the caller.

According to Hartford police, one of the officers noticed that one of the men was manipulating the front of his waistband with his hands as he entered a parked car. Police believed this movement and gesture was a possible indication of concealing a gun.

Officers cautiously approached the two men, who were now both sitting inside of the parked car. Police said they saw the front seat passenger concealing his left hand under the seat. The officers then ordered the men to slowly and safely get out of the car. After waiting for several moments, the two men eventually complied.

The driver, 22-year-old Patrick Johnson-Milner, of Hartford, was found with a gun tucked inside his waistband. According to Hartford police, Patrick Johnson-Milner is a convicted felon on probation in Connecticut.

The second gun, loaded with a high capacity magazine, was located underneath the passenger seat of the car, where officers saw 25-year-old Dajohn Milner, also of Hartford, concealing it with his left hand.

Both men were charged with carrying a pistol without a permit and carrying weapons in a vehicle. Patrick Johnson-Milner was also charged with criminal possession of a firearm. Dajohn Milner was also charged with possession of a high capacity magazine, and possession of a gun with an obliterated serial number.

According to officers, both weapons contained several live rounds. Both guns were recovered by police.
