Hartford PD searching for vehicle involved in homicide shooting of teen on Martin Street

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford Police are investigating a homicide in the area of Martin Street Sunday evening.

Police told News 8 officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation at about 5:38 p.m. near 158 Martin Street.

Upon arrival, officers found a parked car with a dead male inside. He was identified as Juan Bautista Garcia, 17, of Martin Street in Hartford.

Police are actively looking for a vehicle believed to be linked to the homicide.

The Hartford Police Major Crime and Crime Scene Divisions responded and have assumed the shooting investigation.
