Hartford: U.S. Sen. Blumenthal and CT vets push for Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act

Hartford

U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal and Connecticut veterans plan to call on the Senate Monday morning in Hartford to pass the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act, a legislation to help veterans qualify for health care and benefits.

The gathering will take place at Minuteman Park in front of the Hartford State Armory at 11 a.m. on Monday.

The Blue Water Navy Veterans Act intends to remove excessive obstacles for veterans who are qualifying for health care and benefits for conditions resulting from toxic chemical exposure during their service aboard Navy ships in Vietnam.
