Immigration advocates want ICE agents out of courthouses unless they have a warrant

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Immigration advocates want federal immigration agents out of state courthouses.

Those advocates are planning to rally at the Connecticut Supreme Court in Hartford on Monday.

Advocates say, unless the agents have an arrest warrant, they should not be in state courthouses.

However, judicial officials say they can not ban federal agents because courthouses are open to the public under the State constitution.
