Left lanes reopen on I-91 north in Windsor Locks following tractor trailer rollover

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) –The three left lanes on Interstate 91 north in Windsor Locks have reopened after a tractor trailer overturned late Wednesday night.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation reported the accident at 11:26 p.m. Wednesday night. The agency says the accident is between exits 42 and 44 on I-91 north.

Officials closed the three left lanes for some time. However, the lanes reopened around 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

State police say the tractor trailer was carrying bananas and none of them spilled on the highway.  They also say no one was injured.

At this time there is no word on the cause of this crash.
