5-year-old child treated for broken arm after falling 15 ft. from ski lift at Ski Sundown

NEW HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A 5-year-old child was injured after falling 15 feet from a ski lift at Ski Sundown in New Hartford on Wednesday evening.

Connecticut State Police say that at around 7:44 p.m., troopers responded to a person who fell from a ski lift at Ski Sundown at 126 Ratlum Road. According to the Litchfield County dispatch, the victim was a 5-year-old child.

Troopers say that the child fell about 15 feet to the ground. At the time of the incident, the child was wearing protective gear and was determined to be conscious and alert, with no apparent serious injuries.

Lifestar was then requested to transport the victim to Connecticut Children’s Hospital.

The child has since been treated and released for a broken arm.
