A man was injured after being hit by a car in West Hartford on Thursday evening.

Police say at around 6:19 p.m., officers responded to South Quaker Lane after receiving reports that a pedestrian was struck and injured.

Officers first on scene provided medical care before the victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Medical personnel determined that the man sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The pedestrian’s identity has not been released.

It’s unclear if the driver stayed on scene or if they face any charges. The incident remains under investigation at this time.

South Quaker Lane between Park Road and Boulevard was shut down for a short time while officers were on scene. It has since been reopened.
