Hartford

A New Britain man is accused of ripping off Medicaid, billing them for care he claimed to give to a Rocky Hill man, including when he was out of the country on vacation.

Police said 42-year-old William Colon submitted bogus bills to Medicaid for caring for a disabled relative.

Investigators said he was working other jobs at the time or on vacation.

They added that the bogus claims total more than $20,000.
