“No economic justice without racial justice:” Car caravans to acknowledge Justice for Janitors Day

Hartford

(WTNH) — Two groups of essential workers are marking the 30th anniversary of Justice for Janitors Day with car caravans planned in Hartford and Darien.

The day commemorates the 1990 police assault on a peaceful janitors protest in Los Angeles. The groups say they’ll honor the Black Lives Matter movement with the slogan “No economic justice without racial justice.”
