Officials determine cause of death in Route 2 homicide investigation

Hartford

Police are continuing a homicide investigation after a body was found lying in the right shoulder of an off-ramp on Route 2 in East Hartford on Tuesday.

Around 3:30 a.m., units responded to the exit 4 off-ramp from Route 2 Westbound where they found the body of 23-year-old Jermaine Williams of Vernon.

On Thursday, authorities said Williams died from gunshot wounds to the head and torso.
