Police in Bristol have identified the woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Monday night.
According to officials, around 8:00 p.m., a vehicle hit a woman at the intersection of Farmington Avenue and Jerome Avenue.

The pedestrian, identified as 48-year-old Marlene Shepard of Bristol, was transported to St. Francis Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
She was pronounced dead on Tuesday.

The cause of the collision is not known at this time.
