One person injured in serious crash in Burlington

One person was injured in a serious car crash in Burlington on Friday morning. 

The Burlington Fire Department says that there was a serious motor vehicle accident on Johnnycake Mountain Road at around 7:30 a.m. 

Fire crews say that after a prolonged extrication, one person was taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Johnnycake Mountain Road was closed between Route 4 and Cider Mill for the investigation. The scene however has been cleared and the road has been reopened. 

There is no word on the cause of the crash at this time.
