Hundreds of people came together to walk or run the Path of Hope 5K.
Every year, the 5K raises money and awareness for the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance, a non profit that helps families coping with brain tumors and research to find new treatments.
Chris Cusano from the CT Brain Tumor Alliance said, “Brain tumor as a diagnosis is not easy but to be able to bring everyone together to know they have a community, hope and encouragement and provide the same for the families is instrumental.”
News 8’s Stephanie Simoni was the emcee, Suzie Hunter made an appearance too.
The race was underway at 9:00 a.m. at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford.
This was the 6th year for the event.
