Path of Hope 5k raises awareness and money for Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance

Hundreds of people came together to walk or run the Path of Hope 5K.

Every year, the 5K raises money and awareness for the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance, a non profit that helps families coping with brain tumors and research to find new treatments.

Chris Cusano from the CT Brain Tumor Alliance said, “Brain tumor as a diagnosis is not easy but to be able to bring everyone together to know they have a community, hope and encouragement and provide the same for the families is instrumental.”

News 8’s Stephanie Simoni was the emcee, Suzie Hunter made an appearance too.

The race was underway at 9:00 a.m. at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford.

This was the 6th year for the event.
