PD: Pedestrian with life-threatening injuries after collision with tractor trailer in Hartford


The injured pedestrian has been identified by police and announced as deceased as of Friday evening.

Police say Carl Loven, 77 of Hartford, succumbed to his injuries after Thursday’s accident. 

The driver of the tractor trailer is cooperating with the investigation and no charges have been filed, according to officers.

According to officials, the collision took place in the area of High Street and Walnut Street.

Authorities are asking everyone to avoid the area until further notice.

Police said the pedestrian has life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision is not known at this time.
