PD: Victim of domestic assault in Bloomfield pronounced dead, man wanted on warrant


The victim of a domestic assault incident in Bloomfield has been pronounced dead by medical staff.

Officials announced the victim’s passing on Monday evening.

According to Bloomfield police, on Sunday morning, units responded to a home after receiving a report of a son assaulting his father.

At the scene, authorities found a 60-year-old man who was unresponsive and bleeding from the head.

The victim was transported to a local hospital.

On Monday, police said 34-year-old Anthony Bussey was wanted on assault charges.

Detectives said they are awaiting advisement on how new charges will require a modification of the warrant.
