WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police have identified the body of a woman recovered from the Connecticut River Monday morning as a missing Manchester woman.

Manchester police identified the body as 22-year-old Sherrian Howe of Manchester. Howe was reported missing by her family on Dec. 21, 2021.

Around 9:30 a.m. on Monday, police received a call from a person who reported he had found a body in the Connecticut River. Wethersfield officers and members of both the Wethersfield and Glastonbury volunteer fire departments recovered the body and brought it to Wethersfield Cove, police said.

The office of the chief medical examiner in Farmington is working to determine the manner and cause of death, pending further studies police said.
