Police recover 70 bags of fentanyl in Enfield

Hartford

Police in Enfield made a major drug bust during a traffic stop Friday.

A K-9 officer made a traffic stop just after 7:00pm. That’s when police say one of the passengers was in found in possession of 70 bags of fentanyl

Officers arrested 20-year-old David Michael Wanzo of Hartford. Officials say cocaine was also discovered in Wanzo’s possession. He is facing charges ranging from Narcotics, to Possession of Narcotics With Intent to Sell.

Wanzo was held on a $5,000 bond, according to Enfield Police Chief Alaric J. Fox.
