Public safety workers to get possible 2% wage increase


The State Senate is set to vote on a possible pay increase for public safety workers. 

The vote comes after no raise for the last 8 years. If it passes, workers would get up to a 2 percent increase every year for the next 12 years.

The maximum average Performance Assessment & Recognition System (PARS) increase equals 1% annually over the same twelve-year period. Taken together, Deputy Wardens could possibly reach the maximum 2.08 percent annual pay increase over the twelve-year period.
