HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A man is seriously injured after a rollover crash on I-84 westbound in Hartford Saturday morning.

According to state police, a car was traveling in the left lane in Hartford just ahead of Exit 47 when the driver lost control of his car, traveled across all three lanes, and struck the metal beam guardrail on the right shoulder.

The driver, a 21-year-old man, was ejected from the car, police said. He was transported to Saint Francis Hospital for serious injuries.

This is an active investigation.

While three lanes were closed following the accident, only the right lane remains closed at this time between Exits 48 and 47.
